Exon skipping, still at an early stage of animal research, could in a few years concern some forms of :
- thalassemia,
- Duchenne myopathy,
& some other hereditary diseases, when the mutation is adapted to this technique
* apart from therapeutic exon skipping, this phenomenon is often met with in wild life, and is a component of development of species.
